Twits take centre stage

In a further hommage to integrated social media, the uk labour party has announced plans to build in twitter and facebook updates into their mp’s websites.

The move will invite an mp to twitter or facebook the content of any update made to their website.

Twitter has gained notable press coverage of late with public figures stephen fry and even philip schofield advocating the service. Westminster mps can already be followed on the site twitminster.co.uk and the medium has seen some corporate early adopters as well.

Innocent drinks have adopted the service as a means of communicating directly with their brand evangelists and sharing news such as upcoming recipes and promotions.

The individualization of brand experiences seems set to continue as brand democracy within consumer markets retains it’s prevalency. Indeed, in these turbulent times, who wouldn’t want a brand that knows you and that understands.
